TeamHEALTH has become the leading not for profit provider of mental health services in the Top End of the Northern Territory. TeamHEALTH has provided outreach services, support and advocacy for Territorians with mental illness for over 30 years.
About the role
Through the Child and Family Wellbeing Service early intervention and other supports are provided through community-based initiatives to support children and young people who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing a mental illness, to improve their wellbeing and enable them to better participate in their communities and reach their full potential.
Reporting to and working closely with the Team Leader, the Coordinator will assist in the development, implementation and delivery of the Child and Family Wellbeing Service in Gunbalanya. They will be required to deliver strength based case management in line with program guidelines.
To facilitate the development of strong community relationships and support for participants of the Program the Coordinator will work with the Team Leader to develop collaborative partnerships and formal links with other services in Gunbalanya. They will assist in establishing good referral pathways, into and out of the service in order to reach vulnerable children, young people, families and carers, who may not otherwise engage with the mental health or children’s services sector.
Possessing qualifications in a relevant health or welfare area the successful applicant will have demonstrated skills in leading, coaching and developing staff in delivering strength-based strategies in a range of interventions relevant to children and young people.

The successful applicant will be required to have a current National Police Certificate, Working with Children Clearance, NT Driver’s Licence and completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
