About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Officer to join our Operations Leadership Team. Reporting to the General Manager South & East Victoria, the Program Officer will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to lead and deliver key operations projects across Uniting’s operational business units. The position will ensure that project objectives align with Uniting’s strategic plan, funding agreements, program requirements, relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
As the Program Officer, you will play a key role in enhancing Uniting’s capacity to:
- Connect and deliver high quality, effective and efficient services;
- Improve community outcomes and impact;
- Develop high quality models of practice; and
- Deliver financial sustainability

About you
To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a degree qualification in project management, community services, public administration or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
You will also have:
- Significant project management experience in a similar organisation of scale and complexity
- Demonstrable experience in strategically designing and developing programs and services
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high level reports in a timely manner
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
