About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking a Commercial Account Manager to manage a portfolio of clients and provide support to the Director of Commercial in developing the Carriageworks Major Events and Commercial Program. 

As part of a dedicated team you will work closely with clients to achieve their objectives by providing guidance, support and exceptional service. In doing so, you will assist the Commercial Team in the development of major cultural events and support Carriageworks artistic program. You will manage and build a portfolio of clients, support venue management and coordination.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

  • Support the Commercial Team in developing Carriageworks as a major destination for high-quality experiences 

  • Work with the Commercial Director to build and maintain a client base of major event partners, film and production clients and corporate events 

  • Be an integral member of the commercial team and work to meet commercial revenue targets including venue hire, catering, ticketing, and other commissions.  

  • Manage and grow relationships with key major event partners 

  • Support the Director, Commercial develop, implement and monitor business development strategies to leverage and maximise commercial opportunities.   

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, partners, contractors, suppliers, and patrons. 

  • Undertake account management administration including but not limited to managing and responding to enquiries, conducting site inspections, contract negotiation and preparation, supporting the production team with event planning and delivery, tracking financial settlement and review, and records management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 

  • Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders to coordinate commercial activity 

VENUE MANAGEMENT 

  • Coordinate all precinct activity, including commercial, artistic, food and operational activities 

  • Maintain the organisation’s venue management system and calendar 

  • Maintain commercial CRM, event and filing systems 

  • Support implementation of policies and procedures aimed at continuous improvement maintaining effective business operations.
