About the opportunity
The Children and Young Person’s Practice Leader is a key leadership role in the Inner East Orange Door (Support and Safety Hub). The Practice Leader provides expert practice leadership and staff development on engaging children and young people, assessing risk and needs for the infant, child, young person and family, and supporting interventions for infants, children and young people impacted by family violence and/or experiencing vulnerabilities due to other factors.
The role will proactively build the capability across The Orange Door workforce as a whole, working collaboratively to engage with children and young people to ensure that the experiences and voices of children and young people inform the service response in line with The Orange Door Service Model and Best Interests Case Practice Model.

About you
To be successful in your application, you will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, young people and families, have a sound understanding of child and family vulnerability, along with the gendered nature of family violence. You will be values driven, and have professional clinical experience and relevant qualification(s) in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline.
You will be highly collaborative, with the ability to form effective working relationships across various levels within and external to Uniting and partner organisations. The ideal candidate will also have well-developed change management skills and be committed to fostering and driving a culture of innovation and clinical excellence.
