About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Team Leader to join our multi-disciplinary Family Preservation and Reunification Program. The Team Leader will oversee the delivery of our Finding Solutions, Finding Solutions Plus and Reconnect Programs, which offer a range of intensive supports to vulnerable young people and their families.

As Team Leader, you will provide effective leadership, supervision and support to a dedicated team of Case Workers. The role will act as the key conduit with Child Protection and maintain collaborative relationships with various stakeholders. The Team Leader will work closely with the Family Preservation and Reunification Manager to lead the ongoing development of high quality, client-focused services and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and funding requirements.

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a related discipline.

You will also have:

• Extensive experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector including experience working with/for Child Protection
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team within a complex service delivery environment
• Sound knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to the child, youth and family sector including the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a positive team culture
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
