The Role

As the social support program manager you will provide leadership and superior client and customer solutions across Beehive social support programs including vulnerable seniors, NDIS disability support and long term unemployed support. Your core responsibilities will be the supervision of service users and development of training support, lead the current Beehive social support programs, including a range of learning and life-skills, and reviewing existing programs and adding to or amending them.
  
You will work with clients to implement, manage and review all person-centred plans, in line with government funding requirements (e.g. DSOA and NDIS), alongside establishing reliable measurement tools for clients to summarise data and produce regular board, funding and regulatory reports.
  
The role also involves the supervision of university social work students and collaborating with the social enterprise operations manager to develop training support plans for Work for the Dole and NDIS employment training and support program.
  
Other duties will include:

  • Referring clients to appropriate specialists
  • Referrals of clients with current and new stakeholders
  • Assisting in the transfer of clients through sections of the organisation
  • Problem solve day-to-day issues and follow-up on support services
  • Assist with NDIS quality and safeguarding framework audit

Skills Required

You have previous experience in community or disability support services and a strong knowledge and understanding of the NDIS systems and government funding schemes including the development and management of person­-centred planning.
  
Your Bachelor of Social Work degree (or similar) and registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers in conjunction with your strong report writing, analytical skills and problem solving will be crucial to you securing the role.
  
You will also have strong conflict resolution skills and an empathy and understanding of what goes into working within the aged care sector.
