Due to growth and expansion the Wellbeing Support Service for Older Adults (WSSOA) Program Star Health is seeking to recruit a Senior Psychologist and Senior Social Work Clinicians to our vibrant team.
The successful applicants will provide counselling and psychological tailored therapeutic interventions to older adult residents living in residential aged care facilities (RACFs) who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health presentations.
The clinicians will also provide structured clinical supervision and guidance to student practitioners who are undertaking placements with the program. The successful applicant will be required to attend and work independently from a cluster of RACFs located in the Southern Region of
Melbourne.
Please note: These positions may be offered as full-time or part-time (1.0 EFT to 0.6 EFT) to appropriate candidates.
Ideally, you will possess:
- A professional qualification in Psychology (AHPRA registration essential) Social Work (eligibility for AASW registration essential)
- Experience in working with elderly clients and/or mental health, counselling. Minimum of 5 years counselling experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic, client centred counselling to clients and supervision to students on placement.
- Excellent knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions & individualized strategies for treating clients with mental health presentations.
- A clear understanding of counselling and service provision using a recovery orientated, person centred mental health framework.
