About the role

  • Based in Marrickville | Hybrid Working model
  • Full Time – Fixed Term 12 Months Contract, working 35/hrs per week

About SSI – IGNITE Small Business Start Ups: Social Enterprise

Ignite Small Business Start-ups was established as a small-scale program in 2013 to support refugees and asylum seekers, establish businesses quickly and legally in Australia. Ignite has worked with over 1300 clients, helped start more than 300 small businesses and has spent more than 25000 hours doing facilitation and volunteer work to support start-ups.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Ignite Social Enterprise Manager and the Ignite operational team and manage the day-to-day operations of IGNITE as a social enterprise to ensure that SSI strategic outcomes are met. The role will have operational responsibility for the financial and non-financial KPI reporting for IGNITE, ensuring contractual obligations are met; the provision of relevant and timely rep orting to SSI IGNITE senior management; the development of a data collection processes for social impact reporting and overseeing programs and projects from time to time.

The role has a strong operational focus, working closely with staff and stakeholders on the development of processes and procedures including the establishment and operations of an IGNITE HUB which will provide business support for graduated IGNITE entrepreneurs on a fee-for-service basis.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area or commensurate experience and skills;
  • Excellent information technology skills; Extensive experience working with data reporting and collection;
  • Understanding entrepreneurial and practical business operations;
  • Strong interpersonal communications; provision of expert and technical advice to senior management;
  • Ability to supervise a small team. experience developing and implementing processes and procedures; Experience managing an office environment.
