This role is formally based in South Melbourne. At the Foundation, we support our staff to work flexibly, both in location and hours, based on the premise that work will remain the focus of any arrangement. How and where you work is discussed with each staff member based on individual circumstances, role requirements and accountability for delivery of high-quality work.
About the role
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Program Innovation & Design (PID), this 3-year contract role will drive the innovation to achieve the Foundations strategic priorities in key program areas and provide expertise in areas relevant to the Foundation’s programs with a focus on education and media literacy.
You will:
- Identify opportunities for programmatic responses to promote skills and competencies in children and young people.
- Manage cross-functional projects, drive contemporary programmatic updates and professional development opportunities for the Foundation’s eSmart Media Literacy Lab
- Oversee in-depth instructional design refresh and coordinate expert learning module writing
- Foster partnerships and convene expert advisory groups from Media, Technology and Education sectors.
- Develop and manage partnerships with external stakeholders & supporting business development opportunities.
Experience required:
- A qualification in education, social sciences, public health or similar
- Minimum 3 years’ experience executing media literacy/education projects or initiatives
- Experience building the skills and competencies in children and young people through digital literacy.
- Experience developing eLearning tools, digital resources and project management
- Understanding of current research and best practice in improving media and digital literacy for children and young people
