East Kimberley Job Pathways (EKJP) is a leading Aboriginal controlled, ‘for purpose’ community development organisation, empowering communities throughout the broader East Kimberley Region. EKJP operates with a clear purpose and strategy to provide programs and services to improve lives and transform communities by providing pathways, including employment, for people to fully participate in society. 
  
EKJP is owned in partnership by two well respected Aboriginal organisations – Wunan Foundation and Kununurra Region Economic Aboriginal Corporation (KREAC).  The organisation’s revenue is primarily underpinned by the Federal Government’s Community Development Program (CDP) which is the backbone of the organisation and supports the new business areas while in their growth and development stages.

The role

In partnership with the Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for determining the strategic direction of the organisation, carefully balancing EKJP’s impact agenda with the ability to deliver operational excellence and financial sustainability. The CEO will provide effective leadership, direction, inspiration and mentorship; allowing space for growth and will think innovatively to ensure success of the CDP.

To be successful, you will be experienced in leading teams with an energetic leadership style that engages with a diverse group of stakeholders including staff, the Board, Indigenous leaders, funding bodies, Government, and the community more broadly.  You will be outcomes focused and be comfortable dealing with financial and operational matters, and able to enhance a strong team culture whilst nurturing the autonomy required for innovation and execution.  You will bring knowledge of government policy formulation, processes and funding arrangements and have significant experience, and genuine commitment to, working with Indigenous communities.

An attractive remuneration package is offered which includes a car and rental subsidy.
