We aim to achieve this by:

About the role

The Men’s Project is seeking a Manager – Research and Evaluation. The role will lead The Men’s Project’s research into the attitudes and behavours of boys and young men. This research is a critical contributor to the evidence base in Australia on how to reduce violence against women through working with men and boys.

This role will also lead the evaluation of our primary prevention programs, refining and executing an updated evaluation approach and combining evaluation data from individual projects to give a ‘big-picture’ view of what works to change attitudes and behaviours. As part of these efforts, this role will build the capability of the primary prevention and attitudinal change team to conduct their own evaluations.

This role will manage a small team, and be responsible for delivering a range of research and evaluation activities. The role requires someone with deep knowledge and experience in research design and qualitative and quantitative methods, tools and data sources. Evaluation experience is preferred but applications will be considered from candidates with strong research experience and a demonstrated ability to learn the necessary evaluation skills.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for leading and managing our major research projects, working with funders, academics and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of these projects and communication of insights. The successful candidate will also lead a refresh of our evaluation approach to our primary prevention/attitudinal change programs.

Competitive remuneration, plus salary packaging benefit, is offered together with ongoing professional and career development.

Candidate Requirements

This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  1. Relevant experience in non-for-profit, academic, corporate or government research and evaluation, including:
