Permanent Care and Adoptive Families (PCA Families) is a not-for-profit member-based organisation representing families formed by permanent care, kinship care and adoption in Victoria. Established by parents from this community in 2003, we continue to be guided by the lived experience of our members.

About the role

Better Futures/Homestretch Program; Community Services Officer (CSO)

.4 FTE Fixed Team Contract until 30th June 2024

 Come and join a team of highly skilled, motivated and compassionate professionals.

PCA Families has an exciting vacancy for a Community Services Officer to work within the Better Futures/Homestretch Program. The Better Futures/Home Stretch Program aims to help young people transitioning from the out of home care system to move to independence. 

The Better Futures/Homestretch CSO will provide administrative support to the program in the initial intake and engagement of the young person/and their carer.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or similar role in a community services organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the out of home care and community services sector, including the challenges that Young People and their Carers face.
  • Excellent technical skills, experience in data entry and attention to detail.

* Experience working with Young People/Carers or Lived Experience of the out of home care sector would be viewed favourably.
