Bendigo Community Health Services (BCHS) is in search of an inspiring CEO with transformative leadership to guide the organisation towards the highest level of quality in providing exceptional community health services.

The Role:
Reporting to the Board you will be accountable for leading BCHS’s strategic direction, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest quality of care delivery.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Create an environment for BCHS people to perform their best work for our community.
- Lead and execute a robust strategic plan that aligns with BCHS’s mission, values, and community needs.
- Cultivate an environment that champions quality, transparency, innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Lead primary care and clinical governance functions, aligning them within the community health framework and broader health systems.
- Achieve financial goals while maintaining a sustainable financial management system.
- Provide expert guidance to the Board by analysing healthcare trends and socioeconomic influences.
- Advocate for BCHS’s objectives, establish strategic alliances to expand BCHS’s influence and reach, and actively engage with the local community.
Your Profile:
- Established history of achievement as a Chief Executive or Executive, with an understanding of healthcare, clinical governance, or community health frameworks.
- A track record of translating policy and strategic goals into actionable plans that yield measurable outcomes.
- Champions leadership that is both inclusive and marked by a strong sense of accountability and empowerment.
- Proven capability to establish connections, champion causes, and engage in negotiations with an extensive range of stakeholders.
- Robust financial and business acumen, coupled with experience leading and directing budgets.
- Strategic and lateral thinker with the ability to introduce, manage and execute change.
- A solid understanding of the application of technology to improve operational effectiveness.
- Experience in developing relationships and networks with state and commonwealth funding bodies and local regional health and social services.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
