Survey Investigates Activities for Centre for Excellence

The Centre for Social Impact has launched part one of a two-part survey process to engage the Not for Profit sector in developing the structure, purpose and role of a National Centre for Excellence.

CSI was commissioned by the Federal Government to develop a preferred model for an independent Centre for Excellence, which was announced at the same time as the Government’s plans to abolish the charity regulator, the ACNC.

The Government re-committed to establish a National Centre for Excellence in the 2013 Federal Election campaign.

The Centre for Social Impact says it is undertaking a project to develop a preferred model for the establishment of the Civil Society National Centre for Excellence (NCE), and to engage key stakeholders in the sector in developing and refining the model.

“The survey explores views about Civil Society, the needs of Civil Society Organisations, and the potential roles of a National Centre for Excellence,” Dr Andrew Young, CEO at the Centre for Social Impact, said.

A second online survey in phase two of the project will seek responses around the proposed models for the National Centre for Excellence.

“The survey offers an opportunity for civil society to put its best foot forward and to shape something positive,” he said.

“It’s open for anyone to contribute and will take up to 30 minutes.”

The first survey will be open until June 24. Click HERE to view the survey.
