Telstra Foundation’s Free Innovation Bootcamp for NFPs
5 April 2016 at 8:24 pm

The Telstra Foundation is offering a free innovation bootcamp custom-designed exclusively for the needs of the Not for Profit sector – so apply now.

While it’s not likely that blockchain, augmented and virtual reality, AI, robotics or the Internet of Things are on the radar of your average Not for Profit, but one day they just might be, according to General Manager of the Telstra Foundation, Jackie Coates, who is inviting organisations to apply now for free innovation bootcamps being offered in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

That’s the nature of technology, what seems a radical idea when it first appears, ubiquitously, over time, becomes woven into our business as usual.

At the Telstra Foundation, we love the intersection of digital and social innovation an intersection full of opportunity to re-imagine, to think bigger, bolder and differently about what is possible with technology.

We see its benefits everyday and we’re lucky to work with many organisations, like our partners ReachOut Australia and Cerebral Palsy Alliance, who are driving better social outcomes for young people, enabled by technology.

It’s this “tech for good” potential that has led us to extend our social innovation programs to help Not for Profits to build their skills in this area and we are now pleased to launch the Telstra Imaginarium for Non-Profits.

The Telstra Imaginarium for Non-Profits is a free innovation bootcamp, custom-designed exclusively for the needs of the Not for Profit sector.

Our aim is to help Not for Profits that work with young people to reimagine their digital future with a focus on:

  • Service Design – including design thinking, user research and prototyping.
  • Business Design – including theory of change, business case and impact evaluation.
  • Digital Design & Product Development – including co-design, LEAN vs Agile, MVPs and engaging agencies.

Our program features expert industry mentors and social innovation thought leaders to equip participants with the skills and tools they need to bring great digital ideas to life. The bootcamp will run two days a week, over three weeks, in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
