About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working intern who is looking to gain experience in administration, and database management in the not-for-profit sector. This is a volunteer internship that will provide the successful applicant with a wonderful learning opportunity to increase their experience in administrative and database management. You will also be given the opportunity to join the passionate and dynamic team at MS Research Australia.
About MS Research Australia
MS Research Australia is the largest national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to funding, coordinating, educating and advocating for multiple sclerosis research as part of the worldwide effort to solve MS. Its goal is to accelerate research into the cause, better treatments and prevention, with the aim of ultimately finding a cure for MS.
You will gain experience in:
• General office administrative tasks
• First point of contact for incoming correspondence, by phone, face to face and by email
• Database tasks including data entry
• Assistance with tasks within the communications team when needed
• Assistance with the Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign, including merchandise and fundraising events
• Assistance with the organisation of research events
Selection criteria:
• The successful candidate will have the following skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously
• A proven team player upholding the direction of the MS Research Australia at all times
• The ability to plan and prioritise work
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
• Proven skills in database administration preferable
