About the Role
We are seeking an auditor to undertake our annual audit which is due before 31 October each year. Our small charity supports Western Australians who have fallen ill with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and tick-borne illness. We have no funding and operate entirely on volunteer basis, so if you are able to support us bro bono, we would be very grateful. If this isn’t possible, please let us know what fees you would need to charge.
We are using MYOB’s cloud-based AccountRight Live software. Our auditor will be granted read-only access, allowing remote access to the full set of records and allowing the generation of any reports required. Our audit can be undertaken online. If you live in the Perth area, we can also meet you or deliver files to you, however we have modernised our systems to allow remote based accounting and bookkeeping.
We anticipate the audit to take between 2 to 8 hours as we are a low income and low transaction organisation.
We are hoping to find an auditor who will stay with us for multiple years. Our previous pro bono auditor was with us for 5 years and retired due to moving interstate. If you only wish to do our 2017 audit, this is also okay.
Audit qualifications are required and we also need to lodge an auditor appointment form with Department of Commerce WA. We have been informed that there is no restriction on where the auditor is based, so we are accepting applications from right around Australia.
Please email your resume and evidence of qualifications to email@example.com
