About the Role
We seek applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill up to two co-opted Board positions for a period of up to three years (with the possibility of renewal of term). The Families Australia Board consists of up to twelve members, two of whom are co-opted. The key responsibilities of the Board are to set strategic directions, monitor performance and ensure that the organisation meets agreed priorities and obligations. The Board meets face-to-face four times a year and has three sub-committees that meet via teleconference. The role is a volunteer position. The costs of travel and accommodation to attend meetings are met by Families Australia. Board meetings are usually held in Canberra. Closing date 29 January 2019.
