About The Nature School Inc
TNS is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity that operates both an Early Years program and a Primary School, delivering innovative education whilst using an experiential, learner-led approach with a ‘green focus’. At TNS there is a de-emphasis on textbooks in favour of varied learning resources, and students are given time and space to learn from and engage within the natural environment.
Our mission: To create a community where children learn and shine through authentic experiences from and within nature, becoming active global citizens for a sustainable future.
The current strategic plan is to expand and maintain the early years programs; expand the primary school by progressively adding school years until a K-6 program is offered; and move to a permanent home with ecological buildings situated in a bushland environment.
