About the role
Do you have a community-minded attitude, with a background in business? Our organisation has been around for quite some time, and some of our board members will be retiring this year. Therefore, we are on the lookout for community-oriented business people who would be interested to join our board.
Synergy Group is an Australian Disability Enterprise that operates from a HACCP & ACO certified facility, packaging, labelling and processing food products from local food producers and manufacturers. We are also aiming to launch a product into the market. We are looking for someone who can help us bootstrap the product with a lean start-up methodology and then help with scaling. In addition we are looking for someone to join us who can bring excellent fundraising and grant writing skills.
About the role
The following professional background and skill-set of applicants would be highly regarded:
• Experience with fundraising
• Experience with grant writing
• Experience in scaling a start-up
• Experience in the food sector
This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring and credible volunteer Directors to join this trusted and integral community organisation; particularly those with a strong grant writing, commercial, marketing or start-up background. Experience with, or understanding of, opportunities for people living with disabilities, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), is a great advantage.

These positions are non-remunerated. There are 6 board meetings at the Synergy Group factory per year.
