Eastern Volunteers has been serving communities in the eastern and outer eastern metropolitan areas of Melbourne for over 45 years and is an innovative community organisation, a not for profit entity, and thought leader in volunteering and community social enterprise

Eastern Volunteers supports and strengthens a diverse community sector through its Volunteer Support Organisation services, its governance training and support for volunteer boards and its consulting arm.

It provides community transport and social support for those who experience disability and vulnerability in access to services. It operates with state of the art logistics and covers the local government areas of Yarra Ranges, Maroondah and Whitehorse and has offices located in Ringwood. EV prides itself on its approach of professional community services in a social business model.

Eastern Volunteers is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Board members (multiple positions) who embrace the EV culture and who have expertise with community organisations in a broad range of areas including governance, information technology, social media and digital technologies,health, disability and aged care services, volunteering, transport services, social consulting, executive management, finance and local community engagement.

These are volunteer roles. The Board meets once a month in-person for two hours at the offices in Ringwood and has arrangements in place for connecting through technology platforms and are well supported by the CEO and team. The Board has a finance subcommittee and takes a project-based approach to other sub committees.
