About the role

Milk Crate Theatre Board members and Treasurer Become a non-executive director or Treasurer of an organisation with a strong reputation in both the welfare and arts communities for creating theatre that creates change.
• Apply your leadership skills and board experience to improve social outcomes
• Play an integral role in the next chapter of this well-established organisation

Milk Crate Theatre is seeking experienced non-executive Directors to join the committed, energetic Board (drawn from senior corporate, professional services, arts and philanthropic backgrounds) on an unpaid basis and help lead the organisation through its next chapter, delivering on its strategic direction and creative program. This is an exciting opportunity, with the potential to make a significant and lasting impact.

As there is currently an opportunity to appoint up to 2-3 directors, applications are invited from people, with both prior board experience and expertise in any of the following areas:

• Senior psychologist, social worker, or other professional with relevant experience in the homelessness or related sectors;
• Leadership or senior administration or policy experience in social welfare organisations, preferably in the homelessness sector;
• Senior accounting or finance professional to serve as Director and voluntary Treasurer
