About the role

The Australian Military Wives Choir is a choir for women with a connection to currently serving Defence Force members: wives, partners, girlfriends, mothers, daughters, sisters and female serving members. From humble beginnings as a small group in Canberra in 2012, the AMWChoir has grown to over 160 members in eleven choirs in locations across Australia. Choirs aim to meet once a fortnight for rehearsals which include musical education and social interaction, all underpinned by the natural joy that comes from singing.

The AMWChoir is managed by volunteers that include a National Committee based in Canberra, and singing leaders and choir coordinators at all regional locations.

The National Committee is seeking assistance with day-to-day financial running of the association including collecting amounts owing, making payments, and keeping accurate and up-to-date accounts and books showing the financial affairs of the association. Our current annual budget is around $35,000.
