About the role
Our box packing volunteers are absolutely essential to what we do here at the Good Box. Each box you pack will go to a person experiencing homelessness in Australia. This is a great opportunity to get involved with our organisation and meet wonderful new people while making a direct contribution to people in need.
– Unpack stock from packaging
– Pack Good Boxes and get them ready to be distributed to friends in need.
– Help maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouse
– Inventory stock as needed.
– Occasionally assist with various ad-hoc box packing or warehouse duties that arise, such as helping write notes or organise the space.
– Opportunity to become a Team Leader if interested!
Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week. Shifts will occur on a Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 4:30pm – 6:30pm (you only need to attend one shift per week). Ability to block out weeks you are unavailable.
Volunteers required from end of Feb / Beginning of March
We will provide a 15 minute onboarding/training session prior to your first box pack
About the organisation
The Good Box distributes beautifully packaged gift boxes for people experiencing homelessness. Co-founded by Gali Blacher and Madelyn Jones, The Good Box is designed to facilitate positive conversations surrounding homelessness and dismantle misconceptions. The Good Box endeavours to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. The Good Box has donated over 14,000 Good Boxes to people doing it tough all over Australia.
