About the Role

Palms partners in Myanmar require volunteer Business Mentors to provide mentoring and support for community members and local young people who are currently involved in local livelihood programs. The programs include small business/income generating opportunities that link in with agriculture, mechanical repairs and carpentry.

In rural areas like Myeik, there is a general lack of knowledge about the planning, developing, implementing and management of small business initiatives that could potentially help people out of poverty.

Community members and young people will be given the knowledge and skills needed to help them identify, successfully develop and manage a local business opportunity. Local small businesses will be given increased capacity to train and mentor young people, which will create further local employment opportunities.
