CAMBODIA | Pro Bono Accountant for Environmental Conservation NGO

Unique opportunity for accountant (CPA – or equivalent) to gain international experience & build financial management capacity of this inspiring community conservation project for 3 weeks in Cambodia.

Our partner lives by the vision of a clean, tidy and environmentally positive Cambodia. Their mission is to educate about and change the behaviour towards single-use plastics and how this affects the environment.  They are seeking a pro bono accountant to help them with their year-end activities & prepare their annual report.

They raise awareness through educational workshops & large annual campaigns. They also run smaller workshops in schools and within the busy Cambodian tourist industry.  To date they have reached at least 5,500 people through their educational program across Cambodia, primarily in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Battambang.

Your Role

You will be the third volunteer and will be supporting the organisation with year-end activities and creating their annual report. You will be reviewing their progress since the last volunteer placement, including the testing of the consultancy business model he started with the founder. She will have been testing the pricing model throughout the autumn busy period. You will be providing further guidance and training as needed and helping to prepare them for 2019.

This broad and wide-ranging assignment is a great opportunity for accountants thinking about a career move to the international development sector to get an extensive insight in just a few weeks.
