CAMBODIA | Volunteer Accountant @ Social Enterprise

Our partner is a social enterprise working with marginalised communities near Phnom Penh. They produce high quality and unique hand knit products while providing fair and flexible employment opportunities.
They share a shop floor with another of our partners, also a social enterprise. However, the day to day running, accounting and reporting of the two organisations is separate. Over 5 years they have grown slowly and are now looking to enter a phase of more sustained growth and profitability.
You will be the sixth AfID volunteer to support this partner. Their most recent AfID volunteer conducted an internal review of their accounting systems and procedures and implemented a stock control system however this was quite complex and they were not sure that the accountant had the capacity to maintain it.
On this assignment you will provide support on their stock management system. You will review and redesign it as necessary. They would like to use excel or a simple google spreadsheet.
