Chair of the Board

The purpose of the Chair is to ensure that the Board is effective in its task of setting and implementing the organisation’s direction and strategy. The Chair acts as an important conduit between the Board and the organisation’s management, facilitating the proper flow of information between the two and also between the organisation and the community at large. The Chair is to serve as a partner and equal to the Executive Director, helping him/her to achieve the organisation’s mission.
