About the role
Emerge supports women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Domestic violence is Australia’s most series heath problem. But living a life free from domestic violence is possible, with the right support.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to assist with our new volunteer team. To provide extended support to women and children who have been affected by domestic/family violence who currently reside in either our refuge or one of our secure residential properties.
Our mission is to enable independence for women and children by breaking the cycle of violence.
A variety of tasks will be available to assist with childcare duties.Duties may be either on or off site located in the Bayside to the City of Melbourne.
You must have an ability and willingness to work as part of a small team and be able to work independently.
Knowledge of childhood development in children would be an advantage but not essential.
You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
