About the role

The Young AICC is the young division of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce and has become one of the fastest growing young business forums in the country, with over 3000 members (aged 25 – 40)

The Young AICC seeks to inspire, grow and connect Australia’s emerging business leaders, and offer them unique access to Israel’s innovative and entrepreneurial culture.

The Young AICC hosts events featuring high caliber speakers, including leading political and business figures, such as the hon. Julia Gillard, Grant Hackett, and more.

We deliver mentoring, training and professional development programs, including a unique mentoring program for Somali-Australians, for which we have received a grant from the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Victoria.

A percentage of all ticket proceeds are donated to a charity of the speaker’s choice and, in this way, the Young AICC has raised over $80,000 for various charities since 2010.

Since its inception in 2010, this organisation has been run solely by a committed group of volunteers. In 2017, we hired our first General Manager in our first steps to professionalising, scaling and enhancing our impact and reach.

We are seeking outstanding individuals (aged 25-40) to join our leadership team.

If you are a highly-driven, dynamic and pro-active leader with a proven track record of making amazing things happen, then we would love to hear from you. By joining our committee you will be part of the team behind one of the most successful and highly regarded business networks in Australia.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work in a dynamic team to create new and exciting opportunities to inspire and grow Australia’s future business leaders and connect them to Israel’s unique innovative and entrepreneurial culture;

  • Create and run exclusive, high-level events with CEOs, Ministers and Olympic Athletes;

  • Shape the lives of emerging business leaders and others in the community through mentorship, professional development, and more.

  • Challenge yourself as a leader;

  • Gain incredible exposure to some of Australia’s leading entrepreneurs and business leaders;

  • Leverage the connections and know-how of the AICC, one of Australia’s most powerful chambers of commerce.

Preferred competencies include (but are not limited to):

  • Marketing

  • Fund-raising and sponsorship

  • Finance/Accounting

  • Philanthropic experience

The Young AICC has some big plans coming up for 2018 and we need more hands on deck to make it happen. This is your chance to get involved, don’t miss it!

Applications close, 20 April, 2018.
