About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and skilled person to develop a communications strategy that will support the Leisure & Creative Therapy’s fundraising & awareness raising efforts.
The Department
This role will be based at Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre (RTRC) which is a campus of Austin Health. RTRC has a unique identity within the eyes of patients and volunteers of the organisation and is host to Community Integration and Leisure Services
Community Integration and Leisure Services (CI&LS) provides services to rehabilitation clients of RTRC across all clinical areas, including inpatients and outpatients.
The CI&LS vision is Working with people to:

Ø Explore choices
Ø Enable leisure
CI&LS are closely tied with the Creative Therapies Service which comes under the scope of the Manager of CI&LS. The Creative Therapies Service offers Art, Music and Horticultural Therapy to the rehabilitation patients of Austin Health.
CI&LS and Creative Therapies make up the Leisure and Creative Therapies Service
The Role
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate the ability to:
- Enhance the Leisure and Creative Therapies Social Media profile
- Develop visual and written “feel good stories” about patient Leisure and Creative Therapy experiences
- Redesign Creative Therapy’s monthly newsletter and enhance distribution
- Possibly develop and create a Leisure and Creative Therapies website
