About the role
Join our community advisory committee to help us plan for the future of Melbourne’s cemeteries
At the Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (GMCT), we are privileged to serve some of the most diverse communities in one of the most diverse cities in the world.
Each year, we help more than 12,500 families – of all cultures and faiths – plan and prepare for funeral, cremation, interment and memorial services.
Our community advisory committee is currently looking for new volunteers from a range of religious, cultural and social backgrounds.
The committee provides insights to GMCT to support the development of a community-led experience with our cemeteries, products and services, and to ensure deep understanding of community views on issues around death and dying.
We want to ensure we have the range of views, skills, and voices at the table to get the best outcomes for the communities we serve – now, and into the future.
