About the Role
WaterAid is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Community Events Assistant volunteer for approximately 1-2 days per week, flexible days and hours, in our East Melbourne office between October and December 2017 to support our Learn on the Loo fundraising campaign.
The role would suit an undergraduate student with an interest in communications, event management and fundraising, and a passion for international development. The role requires good communications skills, good phone manner, a degree of autonomy, and a willingness to learn.
The types of tasks required:
• Assisting with the promotion of WaterAid’s Learn on the Loo fundraising challenge and World
Toilet Day media event
• Providing event support and fundraising advice to WaterAid supporters by making phone
calls, sending emails, and communicating through online forums
• Copywriting and content creation
• Mailing event resources to supporters
• Administrative and other duties as required
This volunteer position will allow for professional development, skills training and will be a rewarding experience for the right candidate. Please be aware that this is an unpaid position.
