About the Role

Help enrich the life of someone who is lonely by becoming a Community Visitor with the Community Visitor Scheme (CVS). The CVS is seeking a female Community Visitor who is a Filipino speaker (Pampangeno or Tagalog) to visit an elderly lady in Aspendale Gardens.

A Community Visitor is a Volunteer who is matched with a person living in their own home, who may be lonely or isolated and who visits on a regular basis to provide friendship and companionship.

Visits can be spent doing something both the person and the volunteer enjoy – reading, listening to music, chatting and reminiscing or going for a walk or other outing.

We ask that volunteers commit to visiting for about an hour once a fortnight, as a minimum (but you can visit more often if you like). We also ask that potential volunteers consider making the commitment for at least 12 months.

As a Community Visitor you play a vital role in improving the quality of life of the person you visit through ongoing companionship.

Orientation/training is provided before commencement, at your own pace and in the comfort of your home. Ongoing support is provided.

If you are a female who is a Filipino speaker (Pampangeno or Tagalog), please apply now for this rewarding role!
