About the Role

As Volunteer Visitor you will visit a resident living in an aged care facility or in a private residence to provide company and companionship to the person whom has been identified as being lonely or socially isolated. Your visits can involve partaking in activities you both enjoy such as reading, listening to music, chatting or going for a walk or outing. Volunteer Visitors are needed across the Kingston / Bayside region. Where possible we match you with a resident in your local area. The Community Visitor Scheme is a Government funded program and we ask that you be able to commit to visiting for about an hour once a fortnight as a minimum (but you can visit more often if you like) for 12 months or more.

Come and join our friendly organisation and play a vital role in improving the quality of life of the person you visit through ongoing companionship.

Full training and support is provided.
