About the Role

Do you want to make the difference to help women and children in domestic violence? We are looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to assist with our new team. To provide extended support to women and children who have been affected by domestic/family violence who currently reside in either our refuge or one of secure residential properties. The clients you will be working with will soon be transitioning into independent living.

Your role as a volunteer will be to help support our clients in gaining the confidence to live independently.

Taking part in activities such as shopping, going for walks, taking clients to appointments, showing clients local facilities and being a companion.

Volunteers will be matched with clients in the Bayside area of Melbourne.

Volunteers need to be emotionally mature, empathetic, supportive and willing to listen.

Centrelink Newstart Program Approved.

Volunteers will require a Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
