The Sydney Fringe Incorporated is an incorporated Association, registered under and governed by the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW) and the Associations Incorporation Regulation 2010 (NSW).

The Sydney Fringe is a cultural industries organisation and advocacy group for the live arts and music sectors.  This association established The Sydney Fringe Festival (www.sydneyfringe.com) in 2010 which has received widespread industry support and engagement from the artistic community.

We are seeking a passionate and committed professional to take on an Office Bearer role as Company Secretary. It is expected that this individual will play a crucial role in the governance of the Association and the Board’s discharge of its obligations.

The Company Secretary is responsible for ensuring that The Sydney Fringe complies with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements. The role is expected to maintain high standards of governance and will hold primary responsibility for ensuring that Board processes run efficiently and effectively.

It is also expected that the Company Secretary will hold primary responsibility for ensuring that sub-committees of the Board run efficiently and effectively.

Applicants with Not-for-Profit and/or private sector experience are encouraged to apply, however, demonstrated experience in a similar role is desirable. A good working knowledge of governance procedures in incorporated associations and/or not-for-profit organsiations is also desirable.
