Outline & Purpose of Role:

Australia for UNHCR is an international aid agency that raises funds from Australian donors to support the humanitarian operations of the UN Refugee Agency. Established in 2000 as part of a global fundraising network it has now raised more than $160 million from a broad network of individuals, community and corporate partners.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual with strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to lead the creation and production of content across a variety of platforms. As a member of our Communications team, this role is responsible for delivering content that engages our donors and stakeholders, working with copywriting, photography and video.

Key Responsibilities:
 Execute a content strategy that supports Australia for UNHCR’s fundraising and brand awareness activities, in collaboration with the Digital and Fundraising teams to support their communications
 Deliver compelling content, including copywriting, graphics, videography and photography, that engages existing and potential donors with Australia for UNHCR’s work and remit.
 Manage content traffic flow for all projects, from initial briefing through final delivery, ensuring content meets organisational guidelines, goals and objectives
 Research and write compelling stories for a range of platforms
 Manage the production of in-house publications, and an in-house assets library of images and film
 Manage in-house team of two (Videographer & Content Coordinator) and commission external content producers as required

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
Essential
 Strong project planning and organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
 High level editing and writing skills
 Experience working with visual content
 Experience in fundraising communications/marketing
 Ability to manage staff, freelancers or agencies
 Ability to grasp issues relating to international affairs
