Join our vibrant faith based agency providing innovative social care services to 20,000+ children, young people, individuals and families in Northern Metropolitan Sydney and on the Central Coast.

CatholicCare's Family Centres provide a range of family and parenting services, disability services, counselling and mediation, relationship education, family day care, financial counselling and a number of programs to support women and children.

The Family and Relationship Counselling team provides therapeutic services for individuals, couples and families to work through personal and relationship issues which impact upon their wellbeing and their ability to establish and maintain safe and enriching relationships. This role is located in our Family Centre at Naremburn.

The role of Counsellor is based in the Naremburn Family Centre within the Family and Relationship Counselling team and responsibilities include:

• Provide direct counselling services to individual, couples and families across two locations on the Northern Beaches and the Lower North Shore of Sydney

• Work within a small team focussed on family relationships

• Facilitate group programs focussed on parent education and relationships

The key requirements for this role are:

• Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or a professionally related discipline.

• Post graduate study in an area related to Counselling

• Demonstrated experience and skills in providing counselling services to individuals, couples and families

• Experience in group work facilitation

• Client service focus, integrity and a commitment to teamwork

• Must hold a valid Working with Children Check Clearance.
