Organisation : Epilepsy Foundation

Location : Victoria (Surrey Hills)

Time required : Two days

Duration of project : Two days

Sector : Community Engagement, Community Support Services, Education & Training

About the role

Every two years the Epilepsy Foundation holds a memorial service for family and friends to remember those they have lost to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death from Epilepsy). The Epilepsy Foundation’s vision is: “no one should go it alone” and the Memorial Service to be held this year in May gives those who have lost a loved one to SUDEP the opportunity to reflect and remember that they are not alone by connecting with others.

We send a beautifully worded invitation to the people recorded on our Memorial Service database but it needs a serious overhaul. We therefore seek a professional volunteer to map out a project plan and train a longer term volunteer to carry out the project of transitioning content in several excel databases onto a more flexible data management system.

We think mapping out the project and providing training to another volunteer who will be recruited to carry out the project will take about two days. We’d like the plan finalised by mid-February 2018.
