About the role

The vital role of the Detention and Offshore Casework Volunteer will involve being the first point of contact for new referrals to the Medical Evacuation Response Group (Medevac Group). 

The ASRC’s Detention Advocacy program focuses on individual and systemic advocacy for people in detention. This role requires the individual to have a qualification in law, policy, social work, psychology or another relevant area. To have experience in intake assessment with high risk clients, experience in suicide intervention and critical incident management and a strong social justice belief.
