About the role

Timorese vocational college, Instituto Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora (IFMA), located in Venilale in the district of Baucau, requires a volunteer doctor to strengthen capacity of its clinic which serves the people of Venilale and surrounding communities.

Palms Australia is looking to recruit a volunteer doctor who can address the immediate medical needs of the people who need it. They will also need to be able to exude hope and build confidence in people, to help them address many of the issues causing ill-health.

Palms will introduce the volunteer doctor to other health professionals who have successfully developed effective preventive-health practices in similar circumstances. Our unique preparation and support during placement will address processes for assisting to build the health awareness and capacity of individuals at the clinic and in the community more broadly.
