Donations Inventory Volunteer/McAuley Care
McAuley Community Services for Women is a ministry of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea. We are committed to advocating for a better, safer and just society, by working with women and their children affected by family violence, mental illness or homelessness.
We have a key opportunity for a donations inventory volunteer. The position is available for 3-4 hours per week, and will support the work of staff at McAuley Care, crisis accommodation. McAuley Care receives many donations of material aid and we need somebody who can develop an inventory system to help us keep stock of available items and maintain up to date records of donated items. The role will also include sorting and stowing items for easy access.
Ideally applicants will be able to demonstrate:
Experience in stock management systems
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
Ability to identify when stock items are low and report to the program coordinator.
High level interpersonal communication skills.
Eye for detail and accurate data entry
A National Name check and a Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement. A current driver’s license is desirable.
