About the role
We are on the hunt for an energetic, passionate and dedicated ‘everything-doer’ who will help increase the festival’s impact and ensure the smoother running of all festival elements. You will be fast on your feet, creative and passionate about film, art and social change.
Tasks include:
• Responding to the ad hoc requirements of the Festival Director and General Manager
• Carrying out research requests
• Liaising with sponsors, partners, participating international and national organisations
• Building and maintaining outreach, media and talent databases
• Supporting the Director with partnership management and asset deliverables as needs arise
• Assistance with volunteer and event management at the festival
• General administrative duties and tasks
• Provide proofing and quality control and assistance with marketing and communications documents
• Assistance with event management, guest liaison and speaker introductions (where appropriate)
YOUR SKILLS, PASSIONS AND MOTIVATIONS
• Passionate about sustainability and social change
• A can do attitude
• Ideally you will have previous experience in festivals, events, sustainability and / or executive assistance with a strong passion for sustainability, innovation and global challenges
• Must be proficient in the use of google docs, spreadsheets and other office applications
• You will have the ability to work autonomously and remotely with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
• You will be dependable, quick thinking, hard working and have strong attention to detail
• You must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
• Willingness to learn and go the extra mile for a cause
