About the role
POSITION DESCRIPTION – EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Executive Officer is responsible for supporting Chalk Circle’s Board in fulfilling its goals, and managing Chalk Circle’s operations. The Executive Officer will commit to a minimum period of 12 months in the role. The successful applicant will undergo training with the current Executive Officer for a period of four weeks.

Assisting the Board in developing and reviewing strategic outcomes, and to support executive decision-making;
Managing a team of 10-15 core volunteers, who report directly to the EO, in order to deliver projects effectively and efficiently;
Representing the organisation and building relationships with external stakeholders.
Key selection criteria:
An understanding of gender inequalities in Australian society
Ability to commit approximately 16 hours per week to Chalk Circle
Demonstrated leadership skills
Highly organised, self driven with a keen attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively across a range of mediums
The successful candidate will need to hold or obtain a Working With Children’s
How we work:
Currently our team meets remotely one a week to discuss projects and operations but may move back to face to face when time permits. When face to face meetings are permited, meetings will be held in the CBD
Works online through Slack, Zoom and Google Apps to communicate;
Are flexible in their contributions to project work.
