About the role
Western Sydney MRC Ltd is a community based not-for-profit organisation established to support newly-arrived migrants, refugees and diverse communities to reach their full potential.
Through our programs, services and projects, we work to:
• Develop and promote the role of Western Sydney MRC Ltd to diverse communities across Western Sydney
• Promote the principles of access and equity for diverse communities
• Identify and promote the needs of particular disadvantaged groups.
Western Sydney MRC Ltd is currently seeking to appoint 3 non-executive board members, to assist the organisation to support its strategic initiatives over the coming years. Our objective is to ensure the quality of Western Sydney MRC Ltd programs, services and projects through effective and efficient governance. There is an identified gap in the legal and People & Culture skills areas in the current Board.
Western Sydney MRC’s Board will be strategically focused in the coming years. The Board’s work will emphasise leadership, strategy and policy. Implementation of operations and activities are the responsibility of the CEO, who reports to the Board. Nominations that are incomplete when the nomination period closes on 27th October, 11.55pm cannot be considered.

Upon receipt, your EOI will be acknowledged then assessed by the Board Nominations Committee. A shortlist of candidates will be prepared and shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange for interviews. We anticipate that interviews will be held during the week commencing 28th October 2019.
