About the role
Are you interested in improving the lives of older LGBTIQA+ people in our community?
Are you looking to gain Board experience?
Do you have a mix of skills that may benefit WA’s leading LGBTIQA+ elders organisation by contributing to their governance and operational processes?
GRAI (GLBT Rights in Ageing Inc) is conducting a Director recruitment process for 2021 and is seeking energetic, enthusiastic and committed persons to join us on the Board.
Individuals with appropriate experience and/or qualifications in any of the following key areas are invited to submit an EOI by no later than Friday 12 March 2021.
- Law Reform and/or Advocacy
- Events and/or Community Engagement
- Training and/or Stakeholder Engagement
- Finance and/or Risk Management
- Marketing, Public Relations and/or Fundraising
- Governance and/or Policy
GRAI advocates for LGBTIQA+ elders rights with governments; provides training in the aged care sector and collaborates with researchers in order to increase the visibility and understanding of issues faced by, and respect for LGBTIQA+ elders.
Our work with the community aims to strengthen social connectivity through peer and intergenerational friendships.
