Support The Girls Australia is a charity committed to empower women with dignity and respect and it all starts with the gift of a bra. We are the only charity in Australia that offers this face to face support. We support women who are either homeless, disenfranchised, victims of domestic violence or just struggling. We believe that all women have a purpose and a skill and we empower them with dignity and then assist in helping them step up in life.

We host regular bra gifting days, whereby women come and get professionally fitted with bras, provided with new underwear, toiletries, hair cuts, makeovers and neck and head massages. The days are totally designed around compassion and care. We also work with women and assist them in connecting to services dependent on their need.

We have donated over 50000 bras in two years and are committed to supporting women on a national level.

This volunteering role is a small commitment …approximately half to one day per month, to assist us to manage our financials. You would be asked to ensure that the organisation’s financial procedures are adequate and that appropriate risk management strategies are in place. You would be required for reconciliations, preparing profit and loss statements and other reports and to provide advice to the CEO and Board as required. Support the Girls operates on a small budget therefore we simply don’t have the funds to pay for this very important service.
