About the role

Palms Australia is recruiting a volunteer Finance/Donor Relationships Mentor with sound human resources, finance (inc. MYOB) and administrative experience to mentor the staff of Fundacao Sagrado Coraccio de Jesus (FSCJ) in Timor Leste.

During a two year placement, the volunteer will:

  • Assist FSCJ’s local admin and finance staff to implement and develop HR processes based on best-practice.
  • Build staff capacity and confidence to assist networking with partner organisations and donors.
  • Assist with the development of the foundation’s financial system, including the use of MYOB, and train staff in generating financial reports which are consistent with the MYOB system, as currently used by the Diocese of Maliana and parishes.
  • Increase staff’s confidence with using English in order to improve international donor relations and funding applications (English is a favoured international business language among Timorese).
