About the role
The 2020 Diamond Valley Relay For Life is a community fundraising challenge for Cancer Council Victoria, a non-profit organisation involved in cancer research and cancer support, prevention and advocacy . Teams of friends, families and colleagues raise money in the lead-up to an overnight event, where team members take turns walking around a track to signify that cancer never rests, so neither do we.
We require volunteers to assist with the event, which will take place at Willinda Park, Greensborough from Saturday 29th February until Sunday 1st March. Volunteers will be placed on a roster with the hours that are most suitable for them. There are a range of duties that volunteers can assist with, such as supervising children’s activities, setting up tents and decorations, cleaning, and helping with registrations.
Volunteers will need a current Working With Children Check and Police Check. It is also recommended that they have a reasonable level of general fitness.
